The Haas ST-10Y is a latest generation, high productivity machine from the Haas ST range of completely redesigned CNC turning centres. Equipped with C-axis and live tooling, customers can turn and mill complex parts in one set-up. The machine is equipped with a 12-station BOT turret that indexes tools in 0.5 seconds, helping to reduce cycle times.
Maximum cutting capacity is 228 x 355 mm, while the Y-axis boasts 101 mm of travel (±50.8 mm from the centerline) for off-centre milling, drilling, and tapping. The ST-10Y's A2-5 spindle nose has a 58 mm spindle bore and a bar capacity of 44 mm, while also featuring a 165 mm hydraulic three-jaw chuck.
The machine's 11.2 kW vector dual-drive spindle turns to 6000 rpm, and provides 101 Nm of torque at 1300 rpm. From the same range, a larger Haas ST-35 CNC turning centre will also be performing live cutting demonstrations at the event.
The Haas VF-2 CNC vertical machining centre has travels of 762 x 406 x 508 mm in the X, Y and Z axes. The machine uses a 40 taper spindle driven by a 22.4 kW vector drive motor delivering high torque through to a maximum speed of 8100 rpm. The VF-2 boasts a 20-station carousel tool changer and 25.4 m/min rapids on the three main axes.
For those seeking a compact, high-speed drill and tap machine with full milling capabilities, look no further than the DT-1. The machine features a generous 508 x 406 x 394 mm work cube and 660 x 381 mm T-slot table, while maintaining a very small footprint.
A powerful BT-30 taper spindle spins to 15,000 rpm, and allows tapping at speeds to 5000 rpm. The DT-1 is equipped with a high-speed, 20-pocket, servo-driven tool changer that swaps tools in 0.8 seconds. Rapids of 61 m/min combine with 1G acceleration rates to shorten cycles and reduce non-cutting time.
Visitors to the event will be able to join live demo tours, with a team of HFO CNCSSIPL experts on hand to answer any questions.
